How To Cook Rice With Rice Cooker?

First thing to note here is … different kinds of rice require different amounts of water. Personally, what would I do is add the rice into the rice cooker inner bowl.

Put some water in it and simply fill up the bowl gradually by filling above the rice. There are mark there to measure, and sometime it’s base on your experience and preference. For brown rice ( compare to white rice ) you need more water. Personally, I will use two cup of water for one cup of rice. The rice cup measure is normally 180 ml, approximately 25% smaller than the western measuring cup of 8 (US) fluid ounces / 250 ml.

Some of the rice cookers normally include a small measurement cup, and a plastic paddle for serving rice.

Well, after you put in the water and rice, all you need to do is press the button. It’s depend on the model you are using. I’m going to talk more about different rice cooker in my rice cooker review section here.
