If you can spend a little bit more, this is the ultimate best rice cooker to buy, period. This is the dream machine, it allow you to cook white rice, brown rice, sushi rice or whatever rice with incorrect water measurement, I mean incorrect water measurement and still get the rice cooked correct, this is what this rice cooker able to do:)
Well, if you have done a bit of research on this rice cooker, this Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 rice cooker have received top rating from cook illustrated and more. It’s really easily outperform Sanyo rice cooker ( one of the best rice cookers ), but with more advance features and higher price.
Besides that, experts from consumer report have picks this rice cooker as best programmable fuzzy rice cooker in their overall rice cooker testing and reviews. As you already know, they have found out that Zojirushi neuro fuzzy logic rice cooker automatically adjust for different kinds of rice and store your texture preference, and the trade off is longer cooking time. Of course, I use it to cook brown rice and spaghetti too ( check out my post on how to use rice cooker to cook spaghetti ) !
My Personal Zojirushi Rice Cooker Review
This Zojirushi rice cooker can cook rice with tremendous ease even though it has advance features in it. This model come with different cup size – 3-cup, 5.5-cup and 10-cup, and the Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 can cook up to 5.5 cups of raw rice that good enough to serve 3-4 people in the family.
Anyway, if all of this sound too good to be true, what is the catch? I didn’t find anything to fault about for this ultimate rice cooker, but base on the user feedback, you might want to know that it’s lacking of streaming basket and incomplete instruction manual. But since I have a lot of rice cooker, steam basket is no-issue for me, besides that, I don’t read any rice cooker manual:P Well, I guess I will give it a BIG 5 stars for this rice cooker then!

Hello! I came across your blog searching the web for advices on buying rice cookers. I have one question (if you can help me): which one do you consider the best between the NEURO FUZZY and INDUCTION HEATING models? (both of Zojirushi)i saw that the latter costs more and seems to have more performances. (it also costs more). Consider that i buy it mostly for cooking rice sushi.

Hi Matt, I am happy to help here. The induction heating is a new thing that use magnetic technology that allow quicker, more evenly distributed heat for cooking perfect rice. Of course, it’s claim to be better and cook more evenly then fuzzy logic technology.
Personally, I think both fuzzy logic and induction heating rice cooker is great for cooking sushi rice. Unless you are tremendous picky about your sushi rice evenness, using fuzzy logic rice cooker is really good enough:)
