The Sanyo ECJ-HC100S is the 10-cup capacity version of the Sanyo ECJ-HC55S. If you’ve read my review of that model, this model is exactly the same as that one except for the size.

For a rice cooker, this model works really well with slow cooking. Like its smaller version, the Sanyo ECJ-HC100S comes with two separate inner pots and inner lids for rice cooking and slow cooking. No more watching over your traditional crock pot because all of it can be programmed and timed as you like.

Sanyo ECJ-HC100S Rice Cooker Review

The Sanyo ECJ-HC100S has received nothing but praises from the users. Of course, who wouldn’t praise a rice cooker where all kinds of rice come out perfect every time, stews can be done with high or low temperature, and it can steam vegetables, boil eggs and make tofu with precision too!

I think the Sanyo ECJ-HC100S is also perfect for those who hate cleaning up, because it is extremely easy to clean. Basically nothing ever sticks to the pot, but if it does, I find one tip from a reviewer quite useful: wait till the starch dries out, then wipe out the pot with your hand. Any remaining rice will fall away and you can wash the pot easily.

Great 10 Cup Rice Cooker With Slow Cooking Function

This micro-computerized rice cooker and slow cooker are definitely leading in the market of large capacity rice cookers. The price is affordable too. Buy the Sanyo ECJ-HC100S if you need a big-sized rice cooker with slow cooking function; you won’t regret it.

Sanyo ECJ-HC55S – Best Medium-Sized Rice Cooker with Slow Cooker Function

Sanyo ECJ-HC55S rice cooker review

Sanyo ECJ-HC55S is the best rice cooker for you if you need a medium sized rice cooker with slow cooker function. With a capacity of 5.5 cups, it’s just nice for a small family of three or four.

This micro-computerized model comes with not one but TWO inner pots and inner lids for separating slow cooking and rice cooking. I think this is cool because you can take out the whole pot of slow-cooked dish to be set aside when you want to cook rice without having to find another container for it.

Slow cooking can be programmed up to 12 hours with the option of high or low temperature. Apart from making great rice and stews, the Sanyo ECJ-HC55S also has the usual steaming function with programmable timer. What’s more, you can make tofu with the tofu container included.

What Others Said About Sanyo ECJ-HC55S Rice Cooker

Many users loved the fact that the Sanyo ECJ-HC55S is easy to use and clean. Like most Sanyo rice cookers, it has the 12-hour LCD clock, retractable cord, keep warm function, and carrying handle to take cooked food to the table.

One reviewer thought that the rice cooking pot is easier to clean than the slow cooking pot, but a little soaking will take care of the challenging situations. The removable steam collector proves convenient too.

I would recommend the Sanyo ECJ-HC55S to those who’re frowning at the price of comparable Zojirushi models.

Sanyo ECJ-D55S – Best Rice Cooker

After looking at so many rice cookers, Sanyo ECJ-D55S fuzzy logic rice cooker is not only work great but has the price of the on/off rice cooker, what a bargain for THE best rice cooker in this category! I like my previous rice cooker, Sanyo ECJ-N55W, but I have fall in love with this new Sanyo ECJ-D55S fuzzy logic rice cooker. If youare looking for the best rice cooker with an affordable fuzzy logic rice cooker price. This is the one to take home!

Sanyo ECJ-D55S rice-cooker review

Fuzzy Logic Feature With Affordable Price

This easy to use rice cooker uses fuzzy logic technology to cook perfect rice every time, whether it is brown rice (short grain, long grain, basmati, rose and black), white rice (long grain, Jasmine, basmati, arborio and sushi), or whole grains (millet and quinoa). Plus, you can even make puddings, pilaf, porridge, oatmeal and cornmeal in it. So versatile!

I personally like to steam vegetables, fish or egg puddings together with my rice to save cooking time. Sanyo ECJ-D55S doubles as a steamer that can also be used to heat up left over food from an earlier meal.

What Other Think Of This Best Rice Cooker

It is interesting to know what other owners think of this Sanyo ECJ-D55S rice cooker. A reviewer said that the Sanyo ECJ-D55S rice cooker does a nice job of slow cooking. Making stew and soup is no problem then. The timer is awesome because finally you can prepare dinner in the morning and breakfast at night. Come home to ready-cooked rice! Another 69-year-old reviewer was pleasantly surprised that such a piece of advance technology is so easy to use.

What’s more, I think the Sanyo ECJ-D55S is the easiest to clean ever ( compare to the Sanyo N55W model ). The rice never sticks to the pot. Remember to use only the plastic spatula and never metal or harsh cleaning tools on the titanium non-stick coating.

Best Rice Cooker With Affordable Price

Anyway, the downside of this rice cooker is it will take longer time to cook compare to on/off rice cooker. So if you are looking for faster rice cooker, I would recommend some other 5-6 cup on/off best rice cookers such as Sanyo ECJ-N55W or Zojirushi 6 cup on/off rice cooker. If you can spend a bit more, then you should get the best advanced rice cooker – Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker NS-ZCC10, it has more advance fuzzy logic technology and it cook very fast. What’s more is you can set different rice texture for your white/brown rice in this Zojirushi neuro fuzzy logic rice cooker. Oh well, Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy Logic rice cooker is definitely more expensive but worth the price for your consideration if you want best of the best.

Anyway, for the price you’re paying for Sanyo ECJ-D55S rice cooker, which is quite a tad lower compared to models with the same features from other brands, I think its advantages will overweight the disadvantages greatly. Personally, I would strongly recommend this best rice cooker for my friends anytime!

Well, people who own this rice cooker and expect the performance of Zijirushi and Panasonic will be disappointed because this rice cooker couldn’t performance well when there more or low water when cooking, it’s need more precision!

Just look at the feedback from one of the user then you will understand:

“This is the worst rice cooker I’ve ever used! I’m Asian, so I know what a good cooked rice should be like. This rice cooker does not cook!! Rice always come out undercook. I tried following the direction in the manual, tried different ratios of rice vs water, followed instruction in the rice package, tried different type of rice. IT ALWAYS UNDERCOOKED! – S. Green

“Well, I don’t recommend this rice cooker if you really don’t know how to cook with precision, because with other rice cooker make by Zijirushi and Panasonic, most of the rice cooker allow you to make mistake ( whether with low or high water ), the rice still come out perfect. This might not be the case here. Anyway, I must say this is very good looking rice cooker :) “ – user feedback from amazon.

If you have tight budget and have a big family of 8-12 people, you might want to check out this budget 16 cup red rice cooker – Rival RC165 big rice cooker for under $30 dollar. What a bargain:)

Amazon User Feedback:

I don’t have this model and I think some of the amazon owner feedback that I found will be helpful to you to see whether this rice cooker is a right match for you:

“This rice cooker is big enough for family cooking without being too big for small portions. The insert is easy to clean, and the bonus is the steamer tray. It’s also attractive and easy to hear the “click” when it goes from cook to warm. My only criticism is that the keep warm temperature is hot enough that the rice starts to get hard very quickly” – D. Warrell

“for 4 months,i did not have any problme.all of a sudden it stopped working.i am an asian and this is the 1st time a rice cooker bailed on me within a few months” – Rajesh Sirigineedi

Rival RC165 16 Cup Red Rice Cooker

Well, again the durability might the problem here for some of the people who own this Rival rice cooker, but overall, this could be the best BIG rice cooker for your big family.

Panasonic SR-TMB10 Rice Cooker

Product Description:

5-1/2-cup rice cooker with a nonstick-coated pan for delicious rice and more

6 settings–steam, regular rice, brown rice, soup, cake baking, and slow cook

13-hour preset timer; 12-hour automatic keep-warm; rewinding cord reel

Dishwasher-safe steaming basket, measuring cup, and rice scoop included

Measures 9-2/3 by 9-4/5 by 9-3/5 inches; 1-year limited warranty

Panasonic SR-TMB10 – Good Points

Make tasty white rice and brown rice. Cook brown rice reasonable quickly and fluffier compare to on/off rice.

Easy to clean. No mess on the kitchen top.

Didn’t burn rice even though with low water sometime.

Extra feature such as soup, porridge(white rice steamer) and slow cooker setting

This rice cooker looks good on the kitchen top.

Bad

The rice cooker time will only cook 13 hours in advance and will only keep rice warm for 12 hours. For me, this is good enough but some people might need 18 hours in advance.

Very unreadable manual. Again, I don’t read manual, so this is not a problem for me. But if you are new to rice cooker, you might need to do a bit of trial and error here.

Lastly, this 5 ½ cup rice cooker is right for you if you have to serve 2-3 family members. Personally, I would recommend this rice cooker base on its great reviews from Amazon owners:)

This classic zojirushi 6 cup rice cooker model is the one to get if you are looking for a quality, affordable and long lasting rice cooker. It’s a on/off basic rice cooker without any extra feature, the good thing is .. it’s easy to use and the bad thing is you can’t program the timer. The set come with a removable steaming tray, nonstick cooking pan, measuring cup, and spatula – the removable parts make this steamer easy to clean, and a removable cord makes it easy to store.

Zojirushi 6 Cup Rice Cooker Review

Some owner having problem to cook brown rice, wild rice in this model, again, don’t follow the instruction in the manual because the measurement will be in Japanase cups. So just take note on this if you are getting the Zojirushi rice cooker. Overall, this branded Zojirushi rice cooker is excellent!
